Seminar on ‘Innovative Monitoring Methods for Railway Systems’

SDAlab organized a half-day Seminar on ‘Innovative Monitoring Methods for Railway Systems’ in September of 2023. We hosted Prof. Diogo Ribeiro, Dr. Araliya Mosleh and Thiago Moreno Fernandes from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Furthermore, Prof. Vikram Pakrashi, Dr. Thanh Tran, Dr. Ramin Ghiasi, Dr. Meisam Gordan presented part of their projects.

Topics:
1. Remote inspection and monitoring of civil infrastructures supported by Artificial Intelligence and UAVs (Presented by: Prof. Diogo Ribeiro)
2. Drive-by fleet monitoring of bridges (Presented by: Dr. Thanh Tra)

3.A smart future for railways: AI techniques for wayside and onboard damage Identification (Presented by: Dr. Araliya Mosleh)

4.Drive-by scour damage detection in railway bridges (Presented by: Thiago Moreno Fernandes)

5.Instrumented trains for monitoring railway infrastructure: some opportunities (Presented by: Prof. Vikram Pakrashi)

6.An anomaly detection framework for monitoring railway tracks geometrical defects using data collected from an instrumented train (Presented by: Dr. Ramin Ghiasi)

7.A data mining-based approach with hybrid algorithm deployment for bridge monitoring (Presented by: Dr. Meisam Gordan)
